My first ever bees!! So excited to receive the humming package this morning. thanks so much for such great communication, loads of help, great videos, I’ve learnt loads and get to put it into practice now. Bees were actually very calm considering their hot journey and are now happily buzzing round their new home. You have a really brilliant company, made it so easy for me to get started. Will definitely buy again.

I am a really satisfied customer. I bought an overwintered nuc from Black Mountain Honey and I could not be more pleased with the results so far! The nuc arrived on schedule (with a slightly wary postie taking great care with it) on 13 April. I hived it after a couple of days in a 14 x 12 brood box with foundation. The colony thrived from the outset with the marked queen easily found at each inspection. A super of 10 frames of foundation was duly added as stores built up in the brood and yesterday I harvested 10kg of honey from 8 exhibition quality frames (returning 2 part capped frames in a super made up with drawn comb). My first ever honey harvest👍👍. The temperament of the bees is great and I can unveil 6 feet from the hive after working it with no further attention from the bees. Laurence was brilliant at answering my (in one case very basic) questions about installing the nuc and converting to 14 x 12 frames. His replies were so quick it beat most automated online help chats as well as providing precise helpful advice. I would not hesitate to buy from BMH again in future. NB Inhave also found loads of useful guidance in Laurence’s videos which are straightforward and extremely open and honest wether they be about triumphs or disasters(well let’s say learning experiences. Keep up the good work BMH.

Had 3 Buckfast queens this year. One got rejected (my fault, opened the tabs too quick) one turned into a drone layer (again, not BMH fault) and the other is absolutely killing it. In fact, I put a frame of eggs from her in with the drone layer and now it's perfect. Also had 4 queens last year and they're all absolutely amazing. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys. In fact I've sent at least half a dozen other local Beekeepers to their site. Always top communication and always deliver when they say.

(By the bees Knees honey bees) we have been keeping bees for a number of years and have purchased queens from various suppliers I have to say that back mountain honeys are up there with the best. The queens are always long and ready accepted (sign of good mating). Nucs made from the queens soon build up and are capable of producing honey in their first year. They have also proven to over winter very well. I will no doubt be buying more queens next year. Lawrence is very knowledgeable and experienced, he shares his knowledge via YouTube with such enthusiasm keep up the good work. Picture shows first brood pattern second round was just soiled brood very impressive

We bought one nuc earlier this year. Laurence was really helpful, and now we have two hives of really lovely bees. We also found his Youtube channel so much help.
