Spoke on the phone to a woman she was so arrogant and rude honestly she shouldn't be around animals or people! I would love to see the condition of the animals

Karen, Diane, Edna and all the team at Almost Home are so caring for all the dogs and other animals in their care. They were knowledgeable, kind, efficient and helpful through all stages of the rehoming process. The animals are happy, healthy and clearly very well looked after. We have been blessed by rehoming two dogs from Almost Home and we cannot recommend them highly enough. Lovely people and a fantastic experience.

The team at Almost Home were excellent. You can tell they really want the best for their dogs and do a great job of matching the right dog to the most right home. I really appreciated their patience and guidance in helping my family find the right dog for us. Now we have our wee Mollie as part of the family and it's worked out great.

Just arrived back from the charity day. We thought that it was brilliant. We met so many lovely people and their dogs. The whole thing was well organised and enjoyable. The food was truly amazing,if that lady opens a shop we're going to move next door. Thankyou so much for all your hard work and thankyou also for putting a permanent smile on my husbands face as his furry daughter won scruffiest mutt.

A great charity and support for the dogs coming into their care. However, if adoptions fail my experience was a hostile one. The adoption was conditional. So, if the dogs found their feet and became more condifident, if issues occurred re cat dog relations, it was agreed they could return. PROMISED life long support! Unfortunately, one of the boys behaviours become problematic. My rag dolls were snapped at repeatly and the Rags became more and more distressed. After reaching out for a week, and several times a day, I got one call back. Unfortunately, I was at work and unable to take the call. Things took a turn for the worst, resulting in one of my house cats, escaping the home after having a chunk of fur being taken off their side. I was distraught.. he'd never been out and went missing for 24 hours. If you know anything about Ragdolls, which the behaviourist obviously didn't! The risks to rag dolls are massive if they get out. I was told "it's a cat, IT will come back" They are so not streetwise, they go limp if under threat and they have a price! My boy was lucky he went to ground and did return very distressed. The conversation with he behaviourist came across as aggressive, they weren't concerned re how upset I was about one of my Ragdoll going missing or my own emotional pain. The dogs were returned and a repost looking for a new home suggested they were returned over weight, due to time spent with me. On adoption they were already considered 5kg over weight..I had them for 5 weeks, they were more active and I complied with the routines established and feeding plan. They did amend the post stating "they returned still over weight" I can only say if they lost 5kg in a 5 week period that would be a cruel regime and virtually impossible. Regarding the boys the only problem was the relationship with one of them and my Cats... he resource guarded and I was the resource Both have such loving nature's. From having accidents in the home they quickly alerted me when they needed to go out to do their business. From being withdrawn they became confident, one loved to play the other not that interested. All I can advise is read the reviews, mostly good unless things don't go to plan

GO ON! BlOCK THIS LIKE YOU DO EVERYTHING ELSE!!! These are nothing but theifs who handle stolen dogs and pass them off as “no one came forward”! My dog was stolen from me and I was blackmailed and they held her as ransom! Instead of being blackmailed I reported the crimes to the police, I got a message from a kennels to say they had her and I had to pay a fee to them to get her back, I told them she was stolen and it was being dealt with by the police, I was never told there was a time limit on this and because it had been over a week they gave my dog away and claimed no one had come forward for her! Even though I have communication proof between the police and the dog kennels almost homes didn’t care! They had their £200 so tough! I tried to alert people on their Facebook page and they just blocked me and my number! I will be reporting you to the charity commission! What I also don’t understand is how on earth can a dog that’s been reported stolen to the police and via their chip be rehomed! Something is not right here! Be careful rehoming a dog from here, you never know which family it’s been stolen from!!! They also do everything they can to hide the truth hense the top line, I’m sure it won’t be long until this is blocked too! Daisy the husky, not Donna! Is my dog!

Great people doing a wonderful job. One star reviews appear to be from someone who has a bad experience, wrote a one star review, then got their mates to do the same. The clue is to look at their timing. Dogs bite and nobody can guarantee that they won't. Why they bite is another matter

This dog rescue centre has such a big heart, they care so much for each dog and make it their mission to place the right dog with the perfect owner. They have a deep knowledge of all things dogs. High recommended.

Fantastic organisation really care about the animals make sure the animals are well looked after and placed in the right home for them and also have a fabulous follow up service to ensure that the animals continue to be well looked after piease see our wonderful fur baby Boris below

Seems a super, caring place. We got home checked very quickly, our new dog got the vet service (jabs and neuter) and we got her in less than a week start to finish. Wonderful.
